Silver-eared Mesia

Another species of Timaliidae family in high land forests, Silver-eared Mesia (Leiothrix argentauris), was taken at Fraser Hill, Pahang. 

Silver-eared Mesias are distributed from the Eastern Himalayas to Western China, ranging South, down through Indo-China to Malaysia and Sumatra. They also reside in North, Northeast Indian subcontinent, Southwest China and Southeast Tibet. 

They live in bushes on the edge of broadleaved forest, secondary growth, jungle and scrub at elevations of 500-2,000m.

Mountain Leaf Warbler

The Mountain Leaf-warbler (Phylloscopus trivirgatus) is a songbird species from the leaf warbler family Phylloscopidae. Formerly it was included in the "Old World Warbler" assemblage.

It is found in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Mountain Bulbul

Another species can be found in Mount Ulu Kali, Genting Highlands, Pahang, is the Mountain Bulbul (Ixos mcclellandii). A songbird species in the bulbul family (Pycnonotidae).

It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is broadleaved evergreen forest, 800-2590m.
